Catherine Zeta-Jones NOT Upset About Michael Douglas Co-Star Evangeline Lilly
Catherine Zeta-Jones is NOT in a “jealous rage” over her husband Michael Douglas’ supposed flirtation with his Ant-Man co-star Evangeline Lilly, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can bust the rumor, which originated in the National Enquirer, the same publication that falsely claimed Zeta-Jones and Douglas were getting divorced last month.
According to the Enquirer, Zeta-Jones believes Douglas and Lilly have gotten “too close” while shooting their movie. “Sparks flew between the two immediately,” a made-up “set insider” tells the magazine. “While Michael knew Evangeline was untouchable because she has a boyfriend and is in a relationship, it didn’t stop him from lusting after her!”
This same phony Enquirer source continues, “Word got back to Catherine, who became jealous and furious. She read Michael the riot act! It plunged their troubled marriage into even deeper trouble.” Um, no. Here’s what actually happened: The Enquirer repeatedly told readers Douglas and Zeta-Jones were in trouble. The couple stayed together, proving the Enquirer wrong, and the Enquirer decided to focus its attention on Douglas’ female co-star to prop up its already-debunked narrative of marital woes.
A source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop the story is “ridiculous,” like previous Enquirer attacks on Zeta-Jones and Douglas. Anyone waiting for the Enquirer to finally get a story right about the couple will have to wait a little longer.
