Jennifer Lawrence and Sam Claflin literally dove into The Hunger Games in Hawaii on Monday while filming Catching Fire.

Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen) and Claflin (Finnick Odair) took turns diving into the ocean to shoot the first scene of the Hunger Games Quarter Quell, where past victors are forced to compete in the fight-to-the-death competition all over again.

Lynn Cohen (Mags) is also shown in the set pictures.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is slated for a 2013 release.

Are you looking forward to seeing the series’ second installment?

Not looking forward to it. Found the 1st film very dull. Made me feel uneasy to watch the enfolding plot about a group of people trying to kill each other to survive. I have seen more entertainting topics.

I like her she seems like she can act

I really didn’t think that photos would be out this early,
but I am so glad they are. Especially considering they are shooting one of my
favorite parts of the book, the moment they arrive in the arena. A coworker at
DISH and I have been obsessing over the photos, trying to pick out small
details. I can’t wait to see what it looks like on the screen, I am sure it
will be better than I can imagine. With how great everything looks, I am even
more grateful that my coworker convinced me to watch the first movie. I was
originally going to avoid watching it, but I eventually gave in and rented it
using Blockbuster @Home from DISH. It helped that with my busy schedule, I could
get the movie delivered in the mail. I also love that with my Sling Adapter, I
can stream movies and shows to my TV. I loved how the first movie brought the
world of Panem to life, I am beyond excited to see that world expanded in, “Catching
    Fire.”

I love both her Jennifer Lawrence and Kristen Stewart and they are both great
actresses, but Jennifer doesn’t motivate me to follow her like Kristen does.
Kristen is so mysterious and so interesting, js. In the future, it’s going to be

interesting following both their careers, hope they turn into really good friends
    and work together some day.

Did you read the book before seeing the movie?

  • DF

NO, I’m pretty sure that it would have improved the film had I done it. Do you feel it’s a prerequisite to the film?
