Casi Joy “The Voice” Audition Video: Watch “Blue” Performance!
Casi Joy turned all four chairs on “The Voice” on Thursday with her rendition of “Blue.” Watch below!
As Gossip Cop reported, season 12 of “The Voice” premiered earlier this week. And though the NBC competition aired on both Monday and Tuesday, a bonus episode was slated for tonight. Lucky for viewers, that group of Blind Auditions included the talented Joy.
Singing LeAnn Rimes’ version of the 1996 hit “Blue,” the aspiring star’s unique voice led the coaches to perk up immediately. “Wow,” Gwen Stefani could be heard exclaiming. She hit her button not a moment later. Alicia Keys followed a few notes later. Shortly after, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine turned around, too.
Joy received a joyful standing ovation from all four panelists, with Stefani yelling out, “You are so good!” She went on to tell the 26-year-old, “It was so unbelievable. It’s everything I love. This show has been so inspiring for me, and I’m always going to remember that performance. That was so magical.”
Levine told the contestant, “I would do cartwheels to have you on my team. I would literally try to leap over the moon and back for you.” He also jokingly left his chair because he doubted he had a chance scoring the country artist. Keys, meanwhile, encouraged, “I would suggest for you to focus on the two newer, fresher, more exciting women.”
Shelton went on to tell Joy, “What you did to this room and all four of us coaches is the same thing that happened when LeAnn Rimes came out with that song… I am not giving up until Casi is on my team, because this is meant to freakin’ be.” Keys wasn’t giving up yet, either, although she did point out that, by choosing Stefani, she could get “two for one,” a nod to Shelton.
And after Joy said she was open to pop and rock too, Levine amusingly said, “I’d like to retract some of my previous statements. Those were the rantings of a madman. I’ve changed.” But it was too little, too late. Joy chose to join Team Blake! Check out the video below!
