Carson Daly is reportedly in talks to host “The Voice,” the singing competition series NBC hopes will dent the ratings of “American Idol.”

Negotiations are already happening, according to Deadline.

The former “Total Request Live” star is currently hosting the late-night talk show “Last Call with Carson Daly.”

Reality guru Mark Burnett is behind “The Voice,” which will team celebrity coaches with aspiring performers.

“American Idol,” hosted by Daly’s fellow deejay Ryan Seacrest, returns to FOX next week with new judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez.
