Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban Grammys Video 2017: Watch “The Fighter” Grammy Awards Performance!
Underwood and Urban were among the first performers announced last month for the 59th annual Grammy Awards. It was later revealed they’d perform “The Fighter,” which is a duet featured on Urban’s album, Ripcord. The song was released as the record’s fifth single just last week.
Together, Underwood and Urban toured New Zealand and Australia last year, and they recently worked on filming a music video for the track. But this is far from the country superstars’ first collaboration. Last April, for instance, Urban and Underwood performed together on the “American Idol” series finale.
And they went into tonight’s Grammys not just as performers, but also nominees. Urban scored a Best Country Album nomination for Ripcord, as well as a nod for Best Country Solo Performance for “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” another single from the record. Interestingly, Underwood was nominated in that category, too, for “Church Bells,” off her album, Storyteller, while “Blue Ain’t Your Color” was also recognized as a Best Country Song nominee.
Underwood already has seven Grammy Awards to her name, while Urban has won four. With their rollicking joint performance at the 2017 show, now their mutual fans have won, too. Watch below!
