Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban ACM Awards Video: Watch “The Fighter” ACMs Performance!
Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban teamed up to perform “The Fighter” at Sunday’s 2017 ACM Awards. Check out the video below!
As Gossip Cop has reported, “The Fighter” is a collaboration featured on Urban’s album Ripcord, which came out last May. The song was sent to radio, however, just last month as the record’s fifth single. Urban both co-wrote and co-produced the track, which has peaked at number five on the U.S. Hot Country Songs chart.
Underwood and Urban performed “The Fighter” at the Grammys, as Gossip Cop noted at the time. A music video, which embraced a boxing theme, came out in mid-February, but a new version was set to be released Sunday, coinciding with the ACMs. Urban announced the second adaptation just days ago, saying it’s a “very special edit” and called “The Dancer’s Version.”
Both country superstars have a long history with the ACMs. In fact, it’s been 16 years since Urban won Top New Male Vocalist. For tonight’s Academy of Country Music Awards, both he and Underwood are nominated for the biggest prize, Entertainer of the Year. They also scored nods in the respective Male/Female Vocalist of the Year categories.
And with seven nominations total, Urban is the night’s leading nominee. He also performed “Blue Ain’t Your Color” before Underwood joined him on stage for their duet. Watch below!
