“#CancelPurposeTour” became a trending topic early Thursday as fans argued about Justin Bieber’s health.

As Gossip Cop reported, the superstar announced on Tuesday night that he would be canceling meet and greets for the rest of his “Purpose World Tour,” which just began a few weeks ago and is scheduled through November. He explained in an emotional Instagram post that he wants to “make people smile and happy but not at my expense and I always leave feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression.” Bieber added, “I want to stay in the healthy mindset I’m in to give you the best show you have ever seen.”

While a number of people initially accused Bieber of being selfish when fans had already shelled out hundreds of dollars for the meet and greet tickets, many others were concerned about his well-being. Now Beliebers are debating whether the singer should cancel the entire tour.

@biebersmrss tweeted, “Justin for your sake if it is getting too much, #CancelPurposeTour!!!! I promise we won’t get mad, we want what’s best for you. We love you.” @BIEBERSlNFINITY expressed, “I’d give my life not to see him suffer again, if this is what he needs then I understand.” @bieberteamau told the singer, “Justin don’t push yourself. It has just started and you are already feeling this way. Don’t push yourself. We love you #CancelPurposeTour.” And @Sammicallef__ suggested, “Justin’s mental health is more important than a tour. Maybe cancelling the tour for NOW is the better option? #CancelPurposeTour

Other fans, however, were upset by the trend, and feared it would upset Bieber, too. @RebbecaFtAmeezy argued, “This hashtag won’t help Justin, it will just hurt him. It’s like saying you don’t believe in him when he wants to perform #CancelPurposeTour.” @sammiibiebs exclaimed, “THIS IS STUPID. IT WILL MAKE HIM MORE DEPRESS. HE’LL THINK THAT HE IS LETTING US DOWN. #CancelPurposeTour.” And JaniceJreij insisted, “#CancelPurposeTour this trend makes me crazy. Justin can do this. He is strong. And we beliebers can help him. So please don’t be so stupid.”

Bieber himself has not commented on the trending topic. After performing at the Staples Center on Wednesday night, he is next expected to take the stage on Friday in Las Vegas.
