Camila Cabello quit Fifth Harmony, according to a statement issued by the girl group. Shortly after they performed at the Jingle Ball in Miami on Sunday, the four remaining women posted on Instagram that Cabello’s reps informed them that Cabello “decided to leave Fifth Harmony.”

The statement (below) from Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui reads, “After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony. We wish her well.” They assured fans, “You Harmonizers have been there with us since the beginning, you’ve supported us, and with your love and support, we will continue on.”

“That being said, we are excited to announce that we will be moving forward with the four of us – Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui for our fans,” continues the message, which notes, “We are four strong, committed women who will continue with Fifth Harmony as well as our solo endeavors.” Before signing “Love, Ally, Normani, Dina and Lauren,” the statement concludes, “We are excited for our future, and we can’t wait for what the new year brings. Harmonizers, we are in this together. We love you with all of our heart.”

Cabello has not personally commented on quitting the group. The singer, who also sang with Justin Bieber at the Jingle Ball, earlier just retweeted a story about how “Bad Things,” her song with Machine Gun Kelly, had gone gold. Interestingly, when Fifth Harmony was questioned in April 2015 about Zayn Malik leaving One Direction, Cabello commented, “I think it made people sad, but at the same time happiness and health [are] the most important thing. At the end of the day, he’s a person, and he’s a human being, and he needs to take care of himself.”
