Cameron Diaz is the Victim of Two Tabloid Viruses

If you paid attention to the tabloids this week, you’d think Cameron Diaz has been busy getting frisky in the “Creek” and treating germs like a “freak.”

Star says Katie Holmes “hooked up” Diaz with her Dawson’s Creek co-star James Van Der Beek. A so-called “source” tells the mag, “Katie gave him Cameron’s e-mail address, and they’ve been cyber-flirting… She asked him to visit her on set ASAP!”

Meanwhile, according to the National Enquirer, Diaz is a “germaphobe” who “freaked” when she saw the bathroom in her trailer for “Knight & Day,” shooting in Boston. The supermarket tab says “Diva Diaz” demanded rubber gloves, hot water and disinfectant, and “then dropped into doggie position and energetically rub-a-dub-scrubbed until the room was sparkling.”

Gossip Cop didn’t know which rumor sounded more ridiculous, so we looked into both, and after calling around – surprise! – learned neither one is true. We also reached out to Diaz’s rep, who told Gossip Cop that both are “false.”
