Caitlyn Jenner: I’m Voting For “Whoever’s The Republican Candidate” – LISTEN
Caitlyn Jenner says she’s voting for “whoever’s the Republican candidate,” whether it’s Donald Trump or not. She further stresses that no one should made a big deal about her having posed for a photo with Hillary Clinton. While Jenner says in a new radio interview that Clinton was “nice” during their “chance meeting,” there’s no way she’s pulling the lever for the former Secretary of State because she feels we need a president who can “fix this country.” Listen to the audio below.
In an interview on Tuesday with Australia’s 2Day FM hosts “Rove & Sam,” Jenner says she was on her bus tour with the other ladies during the filming of this season’s “I Am Cait” when they had “a chance meeting in the lobby at the hotel” with Clinton. The former Olympian noted, “I talked to her for a little bit, and the girls were able to take some pictures, but obviously I made my point” about not liking Clinton, “and I kind of got ganged up on.” As Gossip Cop previously reported, during a heated conversation with the other women on “I Am Cait,” the reality star assured the women, “I would never, ever, ever vote for Hillary,” who Jenner further called a “f*cking liar” and “political hack.” Jenner told the Australian radio hosts, “To be honest with you, I got more criticism for being a Republican than I have for being trans.”
And when asked if she would vote for Trump, who the hosts said hasn’t been supportive of the LGBT community, Jenner made it clear, “Whoever’s the Republican candidate, obviously I’m going to vote that direction.” She added, “I have my ones that I like more than others, but those are for me personally.” Jenner simply said she was throwing her support behind the GOP’s nominee “because I really feel like we’ve got to fix this country.” As Gossip Cop also noted earlier in the month, Jenner told her girlfriends she thought Trump would be “very good for women’s issues.” Listen below to Jenner’s new interview about voting for “whoever’s the Republican candidate.”
