Caitlyn Jenner Announces Speaking Tour
Caitlyn Jenner is taking her incredible story on the road, a rep confirms to Gossip Cop.
Jenner will be embarking on a five-stop speaking tour next year with an organization called “Unique Lives and Experiences.” The company puts on women’s lectures across the country and in Canada. Previous speakers have ranged from Jamie Lee Curtis to Hillary Clinton.
Jenner began sharing the story of her transition earlier this year when she, still going by the name Bruce, revealed she is transgender in a tell-all interview with Diane Sawyer. She continued to open up about her experiences and recent changes on her E! docu-series “I Am Cait.” She’s also been blogging via WhoSay.
But this new gig marks a return to the past, as Jenner is no stranger to public speaking. After her 1976 gold medal win, the former Olympian quickly became one of the most sought-after motivational speakers in the country. This, however, marks Jenner’s first speaking tour since announcing her transition earlier this year.
There is no word yet on what specific topics the talks will cover, but based on the title, “Up Close and Personal,” fans should expect an in-depth speech about how Jenner’s life has changed over the last year. The tour is set to take Jenner to Toronto, Vancouver, Denver, San Francisco, and Seattle beginning in late February of 2016.
Tickets are already on sale, ranging from $40 to $500 for a VIP package, depending on the location. The VIP ticket will get an attendee into a post-show meet and greet with refreshments and a photo opportunity with the star herself. TELL US: What do you think of Jenner returning to public speaking?
