Caitlyn Jenner Mocked By Car Rental Company Ad: “Try This Crossover” (PHOTO)
Caitlyn Jenner is mocked in a new Sixt Rent A Car advertisement that uses her recent transition from male to female as a punchline. The car rental company’s ad features an image of an Audi Crossover, captioned with the words, “HEY, CAITLYN. TRY THIS CROSSOVER.” See photo below.
Sixt Rent A Car made it clear that the “Caitlyn” it was referring to was in fact Jenner since it added the hashtags, “IAmCait,” “#callmecaitlyn,” and “#KUWTK.” Many Twitter users are outraged over the company’s insensitive ad and feel it’s a slight against the transgendered community. A user named @quinnthereaux tweeted, “1. This doesn’t make sense? 2. It’s probably transphobic and you should STFU.” The user also added, “Trying to turn transphobia into a joke is REALLY mean spirited and sh*tty and not funny.”
@MaxwellMudd pointed out that, “this was a very, very bad idea.” @paulbensonsucks found it “extremely troubling that they have an entire chain of command comprised of people where not 1 said ‘hmm this is bad.'” @KittenWithAWisk declared, “I will NEVER use your company. Ummm….fire your ad guy.” And, @JamesonSkyy angrily tweeted, “Are you f*cking kidding me? This is an ad you went with. You are deplorable. I’d rather walk than ever do business w/ you.”
