Caitlyn Jenner Posts First Selfie After Teen Choice Nomination (PHOTO)
Caitlyn Jenner posted her first selfie on Twitter Thursday to celebrate her Teen Choice “Social Media Queen” nomination. The transgender reality TV star, who made her debut in June on the cover of Vanity Fair, shared a picture of herself in a car wearing Aviator sunglasses with her hair out in loose curls. She captioned the photo, “No #SocialMediaQueen can be crowned without posting a selfie, so here’s my first! #TeenChoice,” along with a link for fans to vote. See the photo right and below!
As Gossip Cop previously reported, Jenner became the fastest person to reach a million followers on Twitter, beating President Obama’s old record. Currently, Jenner, who is also on Instagram and Facebook, now has more than over 2.78 million Twitter followers.
Vying against her for “Social Media Queen” are Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, and Selena Gomez. Last week, Jenner celebrated the nomination by tweeting, “And to think I wouldn’t have qualified for this nom a few months ago… What an honor! #TeenChoice #SocialMediaQueen.”
Fans decide who wins each Teen Choice award by casting their votes online. On the men’s side, Bruno Mars, Jimmy Fallon, Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, Pitbull, and LeBron James are all nominated for the Teen Choice “Social Media King” award. The “Teen Choice Awards” are set to air on Fox on August 16.
