A story claiming Caitlyn Jenner “refuses to watch” the Kardashian family’s interview on Megyn Kelly’s new show was made up. Gossip Cop can expose this fabrication, which comes from the same webloid that has been caught making up multiple stories about Jenner this month.

Yes, we’re talking about HollywoodLife, which is now purporting to have “the EXCLUSIVE scoop on why she’s refusing to watch” the Kardashians’ sit-down. A so-called “insider” is quoted as asserting Jenner has “no intentions” of tuning in because she “knows they aren’t going to say nice things about her.” In unnaturally expository language, the site’s supposed source adds, “She’s hoping her daughters, Kendall and Kylie, were able to persuade their mother not to discuss Caitlyn in-depth.”

A real person wouldn’t say “her daughters, Kendall and Kylie,” since everyone is aware of who her daughters are without naming them. It’s also odd that in the same sentence this alleged “insider” goes from saying “she’s hoping” to “Caitlyn in-depth” when “her” would’ve been the more natural word in the second phrase. An actual source would have said, “She’s hoping her daughters were able to persuade their mother not to discuss her in-depth.”

The manufactured language is a sign that the serial fabricators at HollywoodLies are still up to their poorly thought-out tricks. Gossip Cop has confirmed multiple times this month that no one in Jenner’s camp is talking to the webloid, which is why the unscrupulous publication seemingly invents fictional “sources” and “insiders.” We recently called out the blog for its illegitimate stories about Jenner’s gender confirmation surgery, and just days ago, we busted another “exclusive” about Jenner’s reaction to Kim Kardashian’s “Ellen” interview.

In the first case, Gossip Cop was told by Jenner’s rep that the online outlet was peddling “creative fiction.” In the second, the spokesperson revealed the transgender star wasn’t even aware of Kardashian’s interview at the time HollywoodLies published its article on her supposed reaction. All these pieces proclaiming to have insight on Jenner have been inauthentic, a form of make-believe and pretend.

That’s still the case now and here with this latest story. Jenner may indeed choose not to watch the interview, but the site didn’t suddenly get access to her world and personal feelings. The blog is still making it all up. So the only real news here is that HollywoodLies is still publishing fake news.
