Caitlyn Jenner, Kris Jenner Do NOT Have “Pay For Play” Deal, Despite Report
“Pay-For-Play! Kris Takes Control Of Caitlyn’s Tell-All To Ensure NO Secrets Spilled,” blares a headline from RadarOnline. According to the site, Caitlyn “watered down all the juicy parts about Kris” in her upcoming memoir “as part of a pact she made with her during negotiations for Caitlyn’s return to ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians.'” A so-called “insider” claims, “Caitlyn’s just read the first draft of her book, and has sent it back to her writer to go softer on Kris.”
The supposed source goes on, “She’s playing off it off as a noble act by saying, ‘I don’t want to hurt Kendall and Kylie by speaking ill of their mother,’ but the truth is, he can’t afford to piss Kris off!” It’s extremely suspicious that this alleged tipster would alternately refer to Caitlyn as “she” and “he.”
As for Kris, the outlet’s snitch says, “She had some conditions for helping her, and one of them is that Caitlyn nix any negative stories about Kris from her book. Caitlyn agreed.” The “insider” adds, “While Kris isn’t her official manager anymore, [Caitlyn] still relies on her for business advice.”
That’s also suspicious, because earlier this month, RadarOnline said the exes had a “blowout fight.” And in September, the webloid falsely claimed Kris was going to be Caitlyn’s official new manager. That clueless story even said Kris would have “approval for any tell-all book deal she gets,” oblivious to the fact that Caitlyn inked her memoir agreement back in January.
This kind of inconsistency and carelessness suggest the site is simply making it up as it goes along, crafting whatever angle it deems fit on any given day. But Gossip Cop has exclusively learned the Jenners have no such “pay for play” arrangement. A rep for Caitlyn even calls the allegation “absurd.”
