A new tabloid report claims Caitlyn Jenner is planning to run for mayor of Malibu, but Gossip Cop is told the report is “inaccurate.” Gossip Cop can expose this fake news.

Jenner revealed last month during an interview on CNN that she would consider running for public office in the near future, depending on whether she can best aid the transgender community from within the government or outside of it. In Touch is seemingly now using the reality star’s comments to concoct a bogus report about her “running for office in Malibu.”

A supposed “source” tells the magazine, “She’s seriously considering juggling the affairs of the state with her transgender advocacy and wants to start by becoming mayor.” The outlet’s dubious insider expects Jenner could easily get elected because “Malibu is pretty progressive.” “When Caitlyn sets her mind to something, she makes it happen,” adds the seemingly phony source.

Of course, the former Olympian fielded many questions about politics during her recent book tour, and the possibility of her running for office is a topic that often arose. Jenner admitted she’s open to the idea, but the outlet’s assertion that she wants to become the mayor of Malibu isn’t at all true. Gossip Cop checked in with a rep for Jenner, who exclusively tells us she has no plans to run right now and the tabloid’s report is simply “inaccurate.”

Of course, In Touch has repeatedly published fake news about the transgender reality star, so this latest piece of fiction comes as no surprise. Gossip Cop recently busted the outlet for falsely claiming to know the reason why Jenner didn’t film her gender confirmation surgery for television. We also debunked the publication’s report about Jenner begging to get back on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” This latest article is equally untrue.
