Caitlyn Jenner is NOT trying to help Lindsay Lohan go back to rehab, despite a tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”

According to National Enquirer, a “lonely” Jenner has a “new project — rehabbing Lindsay Lohan.” A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “Cait’s latest mission is to save struggling Lindsay,” because she’s always “been fond of her daughters’ pal.” The article further alleges that Jenner, who it contends is “adrift” ever since E! canceled her show “I Am Cait,” hopes to “reclaim” Lohan’s “sinking career” by helping her first get back into rehab.

The outlet’s supposed “insider” claims Jenner feels Lohan is “lost,” and wants to step in as a “surrogate mom.” “She thinks Lindsay got a raw deal from her bad rep and can still transform back into the kind of star she’s destined to be,” adds the publication’s source. The magazine explains Jenner has also developed “a case of empty nest syndrome,” having become “estranged from the Kardashian clan,” and quotes its alleged source as asserting the former Olympian “genuinely does have a soft spot for LiLo, who she’s known since she was a little girl.”

Gossip Cop is exclusively told by Jenner’s rep that the report is simply “not true.” Unfortunately, we are hardly surprised by the inaccuracy of the Enquirer’s story. Last month, Gossip Cop busted the supermarket tabloid when it ran a ridiculous article alleging Jenner was looking for a mail order bride. Additionally, its pieces about the young actress are equally as absurd. Gossip Cop also recently corrected the publication when it falsely claimed Lohan wants to date Vladimir Putin. Much like those bogus claims, the latest one about Jenner wanting to get Lohan get back in rehab is equally incorrect.
