Donald Trump NOT Asked To Dance With Caitlyn Jenner At Inauguration, Despite Report
The former Olympian and lifelong Republican will be attending the incoming president’s inauguration as a representative of the American Unity Fund, and organization aimed at advancing LGBT rights. A member of Trump’s administration tells the New York Post that the president-elect is being persuaded to dance with Jenner at the event because “the image of Trump dancing with Caitlyn would send a strong message that he supports gay rights and trans rights.” The anonymous official added, “A picture is worth a thousand tweets.”
A rep for Jenner, however, exclusively tells Gossip Cop that the claim is “absurd” and simply not true. But although she won’t be cutting a rug with the president-elect, Jenner has voiced her support for him in the past, including in an interview last year with the medical publication, Stat. Jenner told the publication that Trump is “very much” for the LGBT community, as well as women. Additionally, the reality star revealed during her speech at the Time 100 Gala last year that she used a women’s bathroom at Trump Tower after he said transgender people should be able to use any restroom of their choosing.
