Caitlyn Jenner Crash Video: New Footage Shows Bruce Jenner Fatal Car Accident
As Gossip Cop reported at the time, Jenner was the behind the wheel of his Escalade in February when he crashed into a Lexus, sending it into oncoming traffic, where it was then hit by a Hummer, killing the Lexus driver, Kim Howe. Jenner then seemed to plow into a Prius that had been in front of the Lexus. Since then, there’s been an ongoing investigation to determine whether Jenner was at fault.
The new surveillance footage showing the accident on the Pacific Coast Highway was obtained by “Entertainment Tonight.” Cameras on a passing bus were able to take multiple photos that together show the moving incident from two different angles. The new images of the collision are reportedly being used by investigators in the case.
It was previously said that Jenner was not speeding at the time of impact, nor was he under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He has not spoken about the altercation since an initial statement expressing grief over the situation.
But Howe’s stepchildren have since filed a wrongful death suit against the star. Jenner’s camp fired back saying the relatives should have no claim to any damages because they were not financially dependent upon Howe, and did not have an active relationship with her. The dispute is still pending.
Jenner was more recently hit with a lawsuit from the Prius driver, Jessica Steindorff. As Gossip Cop reported, she sued Jenner last month, pointing not only to her totaled car, but also claiming she suffered personal injuries. She’s seeking lost wages and additional damages. The legal papers, filed after Jenner’s transition, referred to “Bruce Jenner a/k/a Caitlyn Jenner.”
It was previously reported earlier this year that there was bus surveillance video showing Jenner was solely to blame for the tragic event. While that seems to be the same footage “ET” has obtained, there still hasn’t been any charges filed. TMZ has since also published slightly different footage. Warning: The videos below, while not graphic, may be disturbing for some.
