Caitlyn Jenner‘s conservative views upset her transgender friends in a new clip from “I Am Cait.” Watch below.

In the video, Jenner is seen traveling with a group of pals, including Candis Cayne, and engaging in a conversation about issues plaguing the transgender community. “They’re homeless and unemployed,” one woman says, and another notes, “If I was to focus on one area, it would be like entry-level jobs. Just [so] these girls have some alternative if they want it.” But Jenner, who identifies as Republican, chimed in with concerns about the government giving a helping hand.

“Don’t, a lot of times, they can make more not working with social programs than they actually can with an entry level job?” she asks. Transgender advocate Jennifer Boylan responds that “the vast majority of people who are getting help are are getting help because they need help,” but Jenner continues, “But you don’t want people to get totally dependent on it. That’s when they get in trouble. ‘Why should I work, I got a few bucks, I got my room paid for.'”

The clip then cuts to a confessional with Boylan telling the camera, “Now I’m worried. Caitlyn has every right to be just as conservative as she chooses, but many transgender men and women need social programs to survive. And that’s nothing to be ashamed of. Living in the bubble is an impediment to understanding other people. If Cait’s gonna be spokesperson for our community, this is something she’s gonna have to understand.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, Lehwald was also seen in the extended “I Am Cait” trailer expressing concern that Jenner was giving the impression that transitions and life as transgender are “all about hair and makeup.” Check out the video below, and tell us what you think.
