Caitlyn Jenner: I Used Women’s Bathroom At Trump Tower
Caitlyn Jenner revealed during her speech at the Time 100 Gala in New York City on Tuesday night that she recently used a women’s bathroom at Trump Tower after Donald Trump said transgender people should be able to use any restroom of their choosing.
“This toast actually started in a bathroom,” Jenner said while celebrating her honor as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. “Actually, bathroom issues right now in my life seem to be in the forefront.” The reality star added, “On that issue I just want to say also, one little trans woman walking down the street had to go, I looked up and who did I see but the Trump Tower.”
Jenner then noted, “Last week, Donald Trump said I could use any bathroom I wanted in the Trump Tower. So of course, I veered right in there and took care of myself.” The former Olympian went on to joke, “I obeyed all the rules, I promise you. I didn’t throw any feminine products down the toilet and it actually worked out quite well. It was very good.”
As Gossip Cop reported, Trump said during a “Today Show” appearance last week that he opposes the North Carolina ordinance requiring transgender people use the public bathroom that corresponds with sex listed on their birth certificate, and not their gender identity. When asked specifically if Jenner could use “any bathroom she chooses” at Trump Tower, the Republican presidential candidate answered, “That is correct.” Trump was also one of the honorees in attendance at the Time 100 Gala.
