Caitlyn Jenner Defends Republicans, Hangs Out With Former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger – WATCH VIDEOS
As Gossip Cop has reported, Jenner identifies as a conservative Republican, something that’s caused conflict with her transgender friends. In a preview from Sunday’s season two premiere of “I Am Cait,” the star says, “Sometimes these girls think, now that I’ve transitioned, that everything has to change. You can’t be conservative anymore, you have to be a liberal. No, I don’t believe that.”
“I think I can keep all of my views the same, because I feel in my heart that that’s the best way to go,” Jenner continues. She’s then seen arguing with one pal and transgender activist, Jenny Boylan, over whether “Republicans and the conservatives” are to “blame” for some issues in the transgender community. Jenner insists, “We’re not going there.”
And that could be one reason she’s still pals with Schwarzenegger, though the two initially bonded long ago over their respective athletic careers. In a Snapchat filmed at an event on Wednesday night, Schwarzenegger says, “I’m here with an old friend, Caitlyn here. The Olympic champion. Very good friends. Wonderful friends. And we’re having a good time schmoozing.”
For her part, Jenner says, “We go way back. I’m talking over 40 years.” Watch both clips below.
