Bryce Dallas Howard is a mom again!

The Twilight Saga actress gave birth to Beatrice Jean Howard-Gabel on Thursday.

Proud grandfather, Ron Howard, tweeted out the good news, writing, “Born Jan 19 2012 8lbs 6oz Bryce & Baby B are spectacular.”

He added that “Beatrice’s arrival is hugely exciting for our family,” noting the baby’s father, actor Seth Gabel, and nearly five-year-old brother Theo are “beaming ear to ear :-).”

Among the many well-wishers were director M. Night Shyamalan, who tweeted, “Hey Ron, tell Bryce congratulations from our whole family. I’ll be waiting to cast Beatrice in a few years!”

    @Jan shut up most celebs if they get famous don’t go by their real names anyway nor are Theodore & Beatrice weird names. @Regina if Apple decided to go into the business she could go by one of her middle names which are Blythe and Alison and some of those names you think are weird have major significance to the parents that chose them for instance Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon’s twin daughter is named Monroe for her moms favorite actress Marilyn and to honor Mariah’s Irish heritage or Claire Olivia Newman is named to honor her mothers french heritage and a family friend Patricia Neals deceased oldest daughter Olivia who died 29 months before she was born after a bout of measels. congrats to the happy family all that matters is mom and child are healthy

    Other than Apple, all of the names you listed are actually very nice. I just dont see a reason to name a child Blue, Bear or Pilot Inspektor, to name a few. Just because they can, doesn’t mean they should.

    @Regina1180 those last two names I mentioned I did so in part because I deeply admire the parents and have actually met Mariah once. Patricia Neal’s only son’s name is Theo and Beatrice is the mothers name in Paul Zindel’s pulitzer prize winning play The Effect Of Gamma Rays On Man In The Moon Marigolds which was also made into a cannes award & Emmy Award winning film in 1972. @Val15 has it ever occured to you that 80% of single born children go overdue annually so Bryce going overdue isn’t so uncommon and the due date can be totally off
