Bryan Cranston Wants To Play Donald Trump – Watch Impersonation!
Cranston appeared on Monday’s “Today” show to discuss in his new movie, The Infiltrator, in which he plays the real-life federal agent who brought down Pablo Escobar. The actor is no stranger to portraying historical figures, including presidents. He memorably played Lyndon B. Johnson both on Broadway and in an HBO movie.
And during his interview on the morning show, Carson Daly wondered who else Cranston might like to take on. The “Breaking Bad” star responded with a smile, “I’d like to play Donald Trump at some point.” He explained, “He’s huge. He’s this Shakespearean character. This serio-tragic, comedic character. Who wouldn’t want to take a bite out of that?”
Naturally, Daly next wanted to know if Cranston is working on his impression. The award-winning actor then launched into a “yuge” impersonation that showed he already had Trump’s voice and mannerisms fairly mastered. Cranston was humbly surprised at how well his interpretation of the presidential candidate went over, saying, “I think it’s like a caricature right now.”
Daly didn’t want to put Cranston further on the spot, but the game performer ended up doing an impression of another famous star. Check out the clip below to find out who!
