“General Hospital” Star Bryan Craig In Car Crash Days After Emmys Win
“General Hospital” star Bryan Craig was in a car crash on Wednesday, just days after winning a Daytime Emmy.
In a since-deleted Instagram post, Craig showed a pictured of his Corvette smashed up against a fire hydrant. He wrote in the caption, “Terrible drivers in LA #tboned. For those of you who don’t know the red light means you stop……” The tweet remains on his Twitter feed, though the Instagram link accompanying it is now broken.
The incident reportedly occurred when another driver ran a red light, forcing Craig to swerve to avoid hitting the other vehicle. Unfortunately, he ended up crashing right into the fire hydrant, significantly damaging his luxury ride. Thankfully, though, he was not seriously injured and was able to walk away from the accident with just some bruising.
The bad turn in luck came only three days after Craig won big at Sunday’s Daytime Emmys. As Gossip Cop reported, he took home the award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama for his role as Morgan Corinthos. He had previously been nominated for the honor in 2014 and 2015.
“General Hospital” was also named Outstanding Drama, widely considered the top prize, at the end of the ceremony. Craig, who is engaged to former co-star Kelly Thiebaud, and his cast mates had a lot to celebrate. It’s a shame that was cut short by Wednesday’s accident.
