Bryan Bautista And Malik Heard “Voice” Battle Video: Watch Three-Way Steal!
Bryan Bautista and Malik Heard’s “Voice” Battle led to a three-way steal fight on Monday’s show. Watch below!
On this year’s first episode of “Battles,” the two contestants were tasked by their coach Christina Aguilera with doing a duet of the James Brown classic, “It’s A Man’s, Man’s, Man’s World.” The team mates with deeply soulful voices traded off lines, and also blended their vocals together seamlessly. At the end of the performance, Blake Shelton was actually the first to lead a standing ovation, and later called the performance “incredible.”
Pharrell noted, “That performance, it had the crowd standing up, we were standing up… You guys are getting stolen, so this is a good thing.” Adam Levine predicted Aguilera would choose Bautista, but also said he thought he’d end up the coach of one of the two. And even though a winner hadn’t been chosen yet, he went on to pitch why his team would be the one to join.
Aguilera went on to say, “There’s no losers today,” but quickly amended her statement, declaring, “I am literally the loser in this battle.” In the end, she declared Bautista as the victor. And everyone else went for the steal!
The triple button-push had Levine, Pharrell, and Shelton all fighting to get Malik on their team. The Maroon 5 front man said he could get the contestant to be one of the NBC competition’s “frontrunners,” the producer said he wanted to “empower” the aspiring singer, and the country superstar said Malik had the “potential to win this thing.”
“Let’s make some history,” Shelton urged. Well, Malik may make “Voice” history, but he’ll be doing it on… Team Pharrell! Check out the full video below!
