Bruno Mars “That’s What I Like” Grammys Video: Watch 2017 Grammy Awards Performance!
Bruno Mars gave a smooth performance of “That’s What I Like” at the 2017 Grammys on Sunday. Watch below!
Mars’ time on stage at the 59th annual awards show marked his first Grammys performance since 2013. That year, at the 55th annual ceremony, he actually performed twice. He first sang “Locked Out Of Heaven” with Sting, and then took part in a tribute to Bob Marley.
Prior to tonight, Mars had performed at four previous Grammy Awards. He’s also been nominated 20 times, scoring four wins. Two of those victories came just last year, when he and Mark Ronson took home Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group performance for “Uptown Funk.” Tonight, Mars is nominated again, but probably not in the way fans would expect.
The singer was going for his fifth Grammy win not as a performer, but as a producer on Adele’s record-breaking album, 25. The album was nominated for Album of the Year, and the honor goes not just to the artist, but also to the producers behind the music. And Adele had a lot of help on the critically-acclaimed record, including from Mars and The Smeezingtons, his songwriting and producing team, which worked on “All I Ask.”
Mars might find himself back at the Grammys again next year. His most recent album, 24K Magic, came out in late 2016, which will make it eligible for the 2018 Grammy Awards. In the meantime, check out video of Mars’ new performance below and click to watch Mars’ Prince tribute!
