‘Battleship’ Lands Cover Model Brooklyn Decker

Brooklyn Decker is joining the cast of Battleship, which also stars Rihanna in her film debut.

The film’s director, Peter Berg, has added the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover model to the nautical blockbuster, her rep confirms to Gossip Cop.

Taylor Kitsch and Alexander Skarsgard are also onboard for the board game adaptation, set for a May 2012 release.

Coincidentally, Decker was said to be in the running for the lead in Transformers 3, another toy-based franchise. The role went to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
