Brittany Muphy‘s husband Simon Monjack was found dead late last night in the Hollywood Hills home he once shared with the “Clueless” actress.

Murphy’s mother, Sharon Murphy, found Monjack unresponsive in his bedroom at around 9:40 p.m. PST, and called 911.

Shortly after arriving, paramedics pronounced Monjack dead.

Monjack was 40.

Sgt. Alex Ortiz of the LAPD said there were  ”no signs of foul play or any criminal activity involved.”

Monjack’s shocking death comes almost exactly five months after Murphy died of pneumonia and multiple drug intoxication on December 20.

There are claims that law enforcement officials found a number of pill bottles on the bedroom nightstand.

TMZ is reporting that Monjack was scheduled to have bypass surgery in September.
