Britney Spears NOT “Freaking Out” Over VMAs, “Glory” Album Sales
Britney Spears is NOT “freaking out” over the VMAs or album sales for Glory, despite a report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the story.
“Headed For Another Disaster? Britney ‘Freaking Out’ Over VMAs Performance & Album Release,” RadarOnline says in a headline. The site says Spears is “getting one more chance to prove herself as the world’s reigning pop princess at Sunday night’s MTV VMAs,” but “as she prepares to redeem herself after her 2007 disaster,” a so-called “source” claims “she is freaking out right now!”
The supposed snitch tells the outlet, “Britney has been stressed out so much over her album dropping at the same time as she is rehearsing for her biggest dance routine yet! She knows that she has to kill it at the VMAs this weekend and she is doing a medley that will include some of her new music.”
“On top of that, her father, Jamie, is all over her case and he is stressing her out,” the webloid’s tipster further alleges. “Britney is also really scared that Glory will not wow her diehard fans.”
But that’s not what Gossip Cop hears. A rock-solid insider close to the situation exclusively tells us Spears is looking forward to her VMAs performance, and has been delighting in the positive response to her new record. The insider insists RadarOneline’s claims that the pop star is “freaking out” are 100 percent “not true.”
Gossip Cop also spoke to another contact, who told us, “It’s Radar making up stories. Because all the press has been great, they want to take her down.” Indeed, the site routinely chooses to tear celebrities down and peg them as “disasters.” This is just another unfortunate example of that.
