LISTEN: Britney Spears “Tom’s Diner” Cover Leaks Online (AUDIO)
Britney Spears’ cover of the Suzanne Vega song “Tom’s Diner” has leaked online. Listen to the track below.
Spears recorded the song as a collaboration with producer Giorgio Moroder, and it’s expected to be one of the tracks on his upcoming album Deja Vu, slated to be released on June 12. Spears’ interpretation of the song’s memorable hook “doo-doo-doo” is heavily auto-tuned.
A little more than a week ago, Gossip Cop reported that Spears slammed a concertgoer at her Las Vegas “Piece of Me” show after being heckled and called a “fat b*tch.” Shortly before Spears was set to do an encore at the end of the concert, she was taunted by an audience member and could be heard calling the person a “f*cking a**hole”
It’s unknown whether Spears collaborated with Moroder on more tracks, but the song will be on his first album in three decades. Moroder, who famously worked with Daft Punk on their Grammy-winning album Random Access Memories, wrote, “So excited to release my first album in 30 years.” He added, “I’m incredibly happy that I got to work with so many great and talented artists on this new record… Once you listen…you’ll feel it… deja vu.” Listen below to Britney Spears’s version of Suzanne Vega’s “Tom’s Diner,” and tell us what do you think.
