Britney Spears helped celebrate L.A. Reid’s 56th birthday by treating her fellow “X Factor” judge to a rare a cappella performance behind the scenes of the show.

The pop icon sang “Happy Birthday” to Reid while presenting him with a cake on June 7, when the show was filmed, and now there’s video of the occasion.

For anyone who claims Spears’ voice doesn’t sound good without studio production, this clip ought to give them something to think about.
