Britney Spears Reality Dating Show Claim NOT True
Britney Spears is NOT pitching her own reality dating show, despite a made-up tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
According to Life & Style, the singer believes a TV show in which male suitors vie for her affection will be a great opportunity to find love. A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “Britney has been begging her dad, Jamie, to do a reality show about a search for a husband. She’s a huge fan of ‘The Bachelor’ and thinks it would be super fun.”
But the outlet’s dubious insider goes on to claim that Spears’ dad, who’s also her personal and financial conservator, nixed the idea due to the failure of her 2005 reality series “Britney and Kevin: Chaotic,” which focused on her marriage to then-husband Kevin Federline. “He’s promised he’ll consider it in the future,” adds the tabloid’s “source.”
However, Gossip Cop checked in with an actual source close to Spears, who exclusively tells us that the singer isn’t pining for her own reality dating show, nor did she ever come up with the idea for one. We’re told the magazine’s claim about this nonexistent television pitch is simply “not true.”
Unfortunately, Life & Style has a habit of concocting fake stories about Spears, and Gossip Cop has had to repeatedly call out the tabloid for doing so. We recently shot down the outlet’s phony claim that the singer was looking to get cheek implants. Shortly before that piece of fiction, Gossip Cop debunked the allegation that Spears’ dad was “hunting for her next boyfriend.” This latest report about the singer is equally bogus.
