Britney Spears Opens Up About Sons: “My Kids Come First In My Life, Bottom Line”
Britney Spears opens up about her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James in a new People story, telling the magazine she’s in a “real good place” in her life. “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been,” says Spears, who graces the weekly’s cover with her two boys.
“My kids come first in my life, bottom line,” explains Spears. The singer, who is currently in the middle of her “Pieces of Me” Las Vegas residency, says she always makes time for her children and considers homework to be a high priority. “We have a reward system that helps motivate them: if they get so many As, they get one toy a month,” says Spears.
She also tells the magazine that she’s enjoying getting to know her sons’ different personalities. Spears notes that Sean, 9, is “very opinionated,” while 8-year-old Jayden is a little more quiet. “If he doesn’t like something, he’s going to tell you,” says Spears about Sean. “But he has a huge heart, he’s a good kid.”
She adds, “Jayden is sweat, very soft-spoken, kinda funny. He’s adorable — a momma’s boy.” Spears also opened up about her romance with Charlie Ebersol, whom she started dating about six months ago. The singer tells People that her kids “relate to [Ebersol] really well and they have fun together.” She adds, “He’s refreshing to be around and really light-hearted.”
