Britney Spears NOT “Faking” Ankle Injury, Despite Report (EXCLUSIVE)
Britney Spears is not “faking” her hurt ankle to get out of a few performances of her show, despite a new report from a webloid. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this report. A source close to the singer tells us the claim is entirely untrue.
According to RadarOnline, despite Spears being seen on video falling down onstage and injuring herself during her “Pieces of Me” concert in Las Vegas on April 29, the site quotes a so-called “source close to Spears” saying, “Many people involved with the production think she is faking the injury.”
The webloid then alleges that because she was briefly seen on Sunday standing up and throwing a football on the beach with her son Jayden and boyfriend Charlie Ebersol, “she is faking her injury.” The blog, which has no actual proof, then regurgitates its premise with another similar sounding quote, this time from a supposed “source who works on the production,” saying, “Almost no one buys that her ankle injury is for real.”
Well, no one should buy that RadarOnline’s sources in this Spears story are “for real.” In fact, our Spears insiders say one trusted advisor in the singer’s camp even told the webloid its report was untrue and doubted its sources were nothing more than staffers on the site making up stories. Suffice to say, Gossip Cop is told exclusively that Spears is legitimately injured, and the webloid’s claim that shes’ “faking” her injury is 100 percent “not true.”
Of course, Gossip Cop has busted the webloid a number of times for its woefully inaccurate reports. Among our favorite misfires from RadarOnline was when the site claimed Spears’ oldest son, Sean Preston, was fathered by Kevin Federline’s brother. The site was way wrong back then, and is again off-base with story about Spears supposedly “faking” her ankle injury.
