Britney Spears “Make Me” VMAs Video: Watch MTV Video Music Awards Performance With G-Eazy
Britney Spears performed “Make Me…” with G-Eazy at Sunday’s 2016 VMAs. Check out the video below!
Spears’ appearance marked her first MTV Video Music Awards performance in nearly 10 years. The pop star last performed at the awards show in 2007, giving a critically-panned performance of “Gimme More.” At the time, she was struggling with a number of personal issues.
But in the years since, Spears has rebounded. Her career resurgence has included her successful “Piece Of Me” residency in Las Vegas and, most recently, the new album Glory. The record just came out on Friday, and “Make Me…” was released last month as the lead single. The song has since been incorporated into Spears’ concerts, but the VMAs is the first time she’s singing the track on TV. She also went on to sing “Me, Myself And I.”
Spears’ history with the MTV Video Music Awards dates back to 1999, though she didn’t win any awards until “Piece Of Me” scored three honors, including Video of the Year, in 2008. The singer has won five Moonman trophies overall, out of 29 nominations. In 2011, she also took home the show’s biggest honor, the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. That was also the last year she received any nods, and she won Best Pop Video for “Till The World Ends.”
