“Britney scares the parents,” is the headline of a piece about Britney Spears in In Touch, which can sometimes be out-of-touch.

According to tab, “Britney Spears’ march to the altar has hit a detour after a disastrous first meeting with her boyfriend Jason Trawick‘s parents, Bill and Susan.”

How so?

In Touch claims their meeting last month in Santa Barbara, during a weekend away, was “a fiasco” because the singer and her boyfriend first got into “a public fight over women,” and then Spears “embarrassed Jason by asking his parents for Jason’s hand in marriage – and then backpedaled saying she was only joking.”

If only In Touch were joking with this laughable story.

A Spears source says she did not scare Trawick’s parents, the couple did not have a “fight over women,” and the asking for her boyfriend’s hand in marriage is “totally made up. Never happened.”

Just scary reporting.
