Britney Spears and Jason Trawick Announce “Difficult Decision” To Split

Britney Spears and Jason Trawick have split.

The singer’s rep says in a statement, “Britney Spears and Jason Trawick have mutually agreed to end their one-year engagement.”

Her spokesperson adds, “As two mature adults, they came to the difficult decision to go their separate ways while continuing to remain friends.”

Trawick has also now resigned as Spears’ co-conservator, leaving her dad Jamie Spears as the sole conservator.

The pair got engaged in 2011.

It’s been a busy day for Spears, who announced her departure from “The X Factor” and is now considering a Las Vegas headlining show.

    I hate to be this person, but you don’t know what goes on behind closed doors. For all you know, they could have been working on it for a while and it just wasn’t fixable.

    But, I wonder what would happen with the conservatorship if this is true. Maybe she’ll get some control of her own life back now.

    Do you think she is capable of assuming any control over her life? She seems so vacant to me. But anyway, there are reports that Jason resigned as her co-conservator and her father is totally back in charge. There is a reason that she is still under the conservator ship after 5 years.

    It’s good that they’re being adult about this and not dragging each other throw the mud in the public. I felt so bad for Britney and especially the kids. I really wanted her to have that happy ending and maybe one day not need a conservator. At least they’re going to remain friends and he isn’t going to just drop out of the kids’ lives.
