Britney Spears “Honored” To Meet Hillary Clinton, But Deletes #ImWithHer (PHOTOS)
Spears shared two images from the meeting on social media. “Being in Vegas for #PieceOfMe is amazing for so many reasons… Especially today… because I had the incredible opportunity to meet @HillaryClinton,” the singer wrote. “Such an inspiration and beautiful voice for women around the world!!! This woman had an intense presence and I felt very honored to meet her!!!”
Interestingly, Spears deleted her original tweet about the meeting, which included Clinton’s campaign hashtag, “#ImWithHer.” She also removed the phrase from her Instagram caption. It’s unclear why, as the post pretty much serves as an endorsement anyway.
And not all fans are happy about it. “Yuck…officially unfollowing,” commented one person, while another wrote, “Respect. Lost.” Amid the hateful remarks, one supporter told Spears, “Britney, don’t listen to the meanness! The beauty of our country is that we all get to support the candidates we choose. Plus, I like Hilary, too.”
Clinton hasn’t posted the pictures on her own Instagram page or mentioned the meeting on Twitter as of Friday morning. Still, it looks like the Democratic candidate is seeking the millennial vote for Saturday’s caucus, as Chloe Grace Moretz is also in Nevada campaigning for her. Check out the photos with Spears below.
