Commissioner Reva Goetz is upset that fears of a paparazzi/reporter crush kept Britney Spears away from her chambers this afternoon, and has asked the pop star to return next week. “The court was supposed to meet with Ms. Spears this afternoon and there was a misunderstanding,” Goetz said. “I’m going to continue the matter until next Friday at 1:30 and she will be here.”

Concern over media attention has led Spears to not appear in court.

Britney Spears is scheduled to be in court today.

According to reports, as part of her ongoing conservatorship case Spears will attend a 1:30PM meeting with the court commissioner in the commissioner’s chambers. Jamie Spears, Britney’s father, and lawyers for her estate will also be in attendance, TMZ claims.

Sources tell the site the sides want to begin the process of ending the personal conservatorship, although no petition to do so has been filed.

Spears has been the subject of some ugly recent rumors relating to the legal conservatorship making her “crazy.”
