It’s Official: Britney Spears and Demi Lovato Join The X Factor!

Britney Spears and Demi Lovato have officially joined “The X Factor,” it was announced on Monday.

The two were introduced as the newest members of the music competition’s judges panel at the FOX upfront event in New York.

They were joined by creator and fellow judge Simon Cowell, as well as judge L.A. Reid.

Spears tweeted a photo of the four judges posing together at the event and said, “I am so excited about this.”

She was also quoted as saying, “It’s going to be so much fun and so different from anything I’ve ever done.”

Cowell tweeted, “Can’t believe it’s finally happened. Very exciting!”

He later told the press, “We’re going to seriously kick butt… I’m thrilled ‘The Voice’ has decided to compete against us [next fall]. I wish them the best of luck.”

Reid called the show “the Rolls Royce of television,” while Lovato said she was “excited to represent my generation”

“The X Factor” will air this fall on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

    but demi & britney dont have any talent to sing..they r famous because they have a big team behiond them..ive heard them singing and they sound horrible i mean really really bad if u compare them with any of the contestants..and i dont want to be rude, im not a hater of them i just saying what i think..

    I’m hoping they’ll be good additions to the show. I’ll watch to see how it goes. I hope the competition between the judges ends & they’ll focus on the contestants.

    No one will pay demi any attention since britney will b on it and is the bigger star of them both.

    Wishing them the best although I don’t think Demi has enough experience to mentor at 19. Britney should be fine during the taped segments since they can edit. It’s when they go live that we’ll have to wait and see. As far as not being a great singer Britney has enough experience in the business to be able to recognize talent. Simon and LA Reid aren’t singers either. She knows the business end inside and out.

    Simon really shouldve kepy Paula and Nicole. Paula was HUGE back in the 90s and Nicole can actually sing live. I think theyve both been in the business long enough to know what theyre doing. In my opinion, Demi is too young for this, she just left rehab a year ago. Britney is all autotune. Simon…….really?

    Simon has to be out of HIS MIND. How can THEY mentor someone when they need help with THEIR careers. Spears can half-ass dance, but the singing is OK(?) She IS just like Paula – can dance, but not sing. (You contradicted yourself by saying she can only half dance and then saying that she can only dance).

    Let’s see how THESE jokes play out (or this JOKE plays out). I can’t even decipher what your last sentence meant but you really need to work on you grammar before you try to judge someone :-)

    Don’t think she’ll get that category, it wouldn’t make any sense for her to have that one. Maybe she’s have the girls & Simon will have the over 30s while Britney can have the groups.
    I think it’s great, there will be young contestants & she’ll appeal to them.

She had roles on some of the Best Series of Warner Bros, Fox, Sony, etc.. befoooreee she even audutioned for Disneeey.. and took Lessons on Singing, Guitar, Piano, Danceee, Acting, etccc.. beforeee all of thaaattt.. and nooow, after going Platinum, concluded a Sold Out tour through Latinamerica, rehearsing her Summer tour on the U.S.. and planning the rest of the dates in Europeee.. I reaaally think, that YESSS, DEMI LOVATOOO IS MOREEE THAN QUALIFIEEED TO DO WHATEVER THE HECKKK SHE WANTS TO DOOO ALL OVER THE WORLLD!! :))) ….Hope everythin’s clearer nooow :))

    I’m not sure WHAT Demi Lovato brings to the table un less they’re looking for a teen audience.Actually,I’m not even going to be watching,theres too many singing shows.One can only take so much.
