Rihanna and Adele were among the music stars strutting their stuff at the Brit Awards 2012 in London on Tuesday.

Adele followed up her Grammy Award victories by picking up the first Brit of the evening – for Female Solo Artist of the Year.

“It’s been an amazing year,” said the singer after receiving her statuette from presenter Kylie Minogue.

Will.i.am, Florence Welch, Jessie J, Victoria Justice and others are also on hand for the ceremony.
