Bristol Palin: “This Baby Is Not a Disappointment,” You “Giddy A**holes!”
Bristol Palin is slamming haters in yet another blog post about her second pregnancy, saying her unborn baby is “not a disappointment.” The daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin shared a photo of her baby’s sonogram on Sunday, writing, “So here are the things you should all get straight before you continue to mock me, judge me, and talk about me. None of us are perfect. I made a mistake, but it’s not the mistake all these giddy a$$holes have loved to assume.”
Palin, who has not named the father of her baby, though it’s widely assumed to be Dakota Meyer, notes the pregnancy was planned. “Everyone knows I wanted more kids, to have a bigger family. Believing I was heading that way, I got ahead of myself,” explains Palin, adding, “Things didn’t go as planned, but life keeps going. Life moves on. But I do not regret this baby. This baby is not a disappointment, and I cannot wait to be a mom times two. Tripp is going to make the best big brother!!”
The 24-year-old conservative also addresses claims that she was an “abstinence spokesperson,” writing, “I was employed by the great people at The Candies Foundation… They are a teen pregnancy prevention non-profit and I worked for them when I was 18 and 19 – when I could share first hand the challenges of being a teen mother.” Palin continues, “When I realized I was pregnant [again], I knew I would be completely crucified. But I never even thought of aborting this child, NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCE. (Sorry to the ghouls at Gawker, who said this baby is an argument FOR abortion. Not happening).”
Palin goes on to acknowledge that her situation is not “ideal,” but “life is important even if it’s not in the most absolute ideal circumstance.” She concludes, “This is more confirmation on what I’ve always stood for. I’ve always been pro-life and I am standing for life now. Deal with it.”
As Gossip Cop reported, Palin, who’s already mom to six-year-old Tripp Johnston, was previously engaged to Meyer, but the two called off their wedding shortly before they were to exchange vows.
