Bristol Palin Slams Obama For Supporting Gay Marriage, Goes After Glee

Bristol Palin is slamming President Obama after he announced he supports gay marriage during an interview with ABC News on Wednesday.

Palin particularly criticized the fact that Obama’s decision was influenced by his daughters.

She wrote on her blog on Thursday, “While it’s great to listen to your kids’ ideas, there’s also a time when dads simply need to be dads. In this case, it would’ve been helpful for him to explain to Malia and Sasha that while her friends parents are no doubt lovely people, that’s not a reason to change thousands of years of thinking about marriage.”

Palin adds, “As great as her friends may be – we know that in general kids do better growing up in a mother/father home. Ideally, fathers help shape their kids’ worldview.”

The “Dancing With the Stars” alum further notes, “In this situation, it was the other way around. I guess we can be glad that Malia and Sasha aren’t younger, or perhaps today’s press conference might have been about appointing Dora the Explorer as Attorney General because of her success in stopping Swiper the Fox.”

Palin concludes, “Sometimes dads should lead their family in the right ways of thinking. In this case, it would’ve been nice if the President would’ve been an actual leader and helped shape their thoughts instead of merely reflecting what many teenagers think after one too many episodes of ‘Glee.’”

What do you think of Palin’s comments?

She really needs to shut the fuck up!! She has no clue what she is talking about! And she should talk about having a nice father/mother home for children when her baby daddy impregnated another girl and wants nothing to do with her and their son!!

  • Anna

This is coming from a dumbass girl who couldnt even keep her legs closed? She critizes The President for being about EQUALITY. Yet her own parents failed greatly at raising her ass. Smh can
We ship her to the moon please.

  • JessMarie414

    Dear Bristol,

Shut the fvck up. Everyone should have the right to marry whoever they love. Man and wife is something that is said in the bible. As a Christian I can except that not everybody believes what I believe. In America we have this little thing called seperation of church and state. Build a bridge and get over it.

    Sincerely,

Fed up with your entire family.

  • Anna

Exactly obamas girls will turn out better than she ever will. Shes the one broke having to reply on media to even get money. Her own
Mother didnt even know that afria was a CONTINENT. She needa to stfu. The prez had more intellect than she ever will. I think we can all conlude our hatred of her is growing with comments like this.

How closed minded can one person be.

“As great as her friends may be – we know that in general kids do better growing up in a mother/father home. Ideally, fathers help shape their kids’ worldview.”

Really? Parents in general help shape their kids’ worldview. That holds true for any combination of parents that are out there. Single moms and dads, gay couples, straight couples, etc.

“…In this case, it would’ve been helpful for him to explain to Malia and Sasha that while her friends parents are no doubt lovely people, that’s not a reason to change thousands of years of thinking about marriage.”

It’s sad that after “thousands of years of thinking about marriage” we still have yet to accept all forms of marriage. How ignorant can Bristol Palin be?

  • Anonymous

The stupid doesn’t fall very far from the tree.

  • Erika

Palin adds, “As great as her friends may be – we know that in general kids do better growing up in a mother/father home. Ideally, fathers help shape their kids’ worldview.”

Wow, because her baby daddy would be such a great influence on Tripp! Yes you can say “ideally” but I don’t think it makes a difference. As long as you have a strong family support system. My mom was a single parent but she had the help of her parents, sister, friends & even close neighbors.

Some kids have the ideal two parents but what’s the point if those parents are not emotionally supportive.

  • http://twitter.com/rachelradschlag Rachel

In addtion…I LOVE that Glee shows the world like it REALLY is and not some picture perfect girl/boy relationships, because that’s not realistic.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_63SFUJ622FEIJ65S5YKIQG425A Sophia

Can we please build a space station on Pluto and send her there for eternity? This girl needs to SHUT HER MOUTH!!!

    1) her comment about Dora and Swiper made no sense whatsoever

    2) Dont bring the poor kids into this.

    3) GET OFF OF THIS PLANET!!!!!

  • Anonymous

I don’t care for her or her family, but I can respect someone who stands up for their beliefs despite what others may think. It’s obvious she’s taking a lot of heat for her comments, but they are HER beliefs and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Especially on this matter. Not everyone is going to agree with what the president said, but that’s the beauty of this country isn’t it? We can all have our own opinions and beliefs without feeling the need to down talk others.

  • Nick

LOL…Can’t the opposition get someone relevant to speak up

  • Guest

Let’s see. She tried to hide her pregnancy, which happened when she was not married by the way (not a problem for me, but one for her mother’s party) until her mother was nominated, then they tried to force the father of her child to marry her, again for politics, but when they lost, he bolted, but when they got offered money and a reality show, they became engaged, then when the reality show failed, they broke up again, so they were getting married for money. Yes, she is a great example for the defence of “heterosexual” marriage. She just needs to zip it, right along with the rest of her family.

  • alexstorm

OMG stfu she spouts off like her mother, and yeah where is your baby daddy? How about you drag your sorry ass into the 21st century and understand that people are not all like you and they want to share their life w/whoever and for the President to say what he did, it shows his strength, compassion and really, he is doing what is right!! accept it, people are gay, they are not out having illegitimate children …sorry sweetie

  • Anna

    Praise this comment ^^^^^

  • Chloe

LOL! While I agree with the posters this one says it all.

  • Quest Mark

Stup cunt, who cares what she thinks. I guess she listened to her father when she had her baby out of wedlock. Please make this troll go away!!!!

  • Nick

Her beliefs don’t need to stand up, they’ve been up. She is one of the oppressors.

People used to think it was okay to have the “opinion” that slavery was A-OK, doesn’t mean that was right. While it’s a very different shape of social injustice, just because gays aren’t enslaved doesn’t mean they have equality under current laws.

And I find it hilarious that she cites “thousands of years of thinking about marriage,” amongst other legit references like Dora the explorer and Glee. Bitch, you need a history course more than you need Jesus. Does she have any idea what life for women was like just a few hundred years ago? Or what marriage was like? Modern compassion and thought is the only reason HER teen-mom ass isn’t a pariah. Ungrateful, uneducated flap-trap.

  • Chloe

I see what your saying but sometimes you need to keep your opinion to yourself. Opinions are like a-holes everyone’s got one, but not everyone needs to see them. This was opinion we did need to hear…and don’t think for a second she doesn’t have other motives there is an agenda for making these comments. Therefore, she deserves the backlash she gets.

  • Anonymous

While I do agree that her track record makes people not want to listen to what she has to say, she still has the right to say it. Whether anyone agrees with her or not. I’m not saying she’s right or wrong in this statement, I’m not agreeing with anyone on this matter. I’m just simply stating that it’s nice that we have the right to say what we feel on any subject even though we know it will open us up to hate from those who don’t agree with what we have to say.

  • Regina1180

I get that people are going to comment on what the President had to say, but who really gives a crap about this girls opinion? Sure, she has every right to spew her nonsense on her blog, but why are outlets reporting on her comments?

  • Randomlibra

Says the unwed teen mom who’s baby daddy poses for pornographic magazines…

  • Anna

Exactly chloe PLUS she is VERY LOW for bringing obamas innocent kids into this. Have a problem with the president okay… But he kids? Come on. She is a mother herself. A slack one at that and should know better

  • Meangirl1982

Maybe the christian views of unwed mothers shouldn’t have been revised after thousands of years either. Who is this girl again?

  • Arcachnar

Dear Sarah. Do not judge or you will judged. IF you want to ‘slam’ down someone whose beliefs or political different as you, don’t get personal or drag their family (IE daughters) into it. Neither should it be done on the social media. Like Twitter or Facebook. With your historical background I don’t think it is wise to point oit the mistakes of others. Leave it to those who have the knowledge and the expertise.

  • Arcachnar

Oops. I mean Bristol. Oh well.

  • Anonymous

Like this bitch has any room to talk…..tell your son how you conceived him out of wedlock and under the age of 18…..and then DIDN’T stay with his father…stupid bigots!! If they put this much attention in their own lives as they do with others. maybe they wouldn’t care so much what two consenting adults decide to do in their relationship, in their bed, in their lives.

  • Danny

People who grow up with parents who arent man and woman aren’t different from those who grow up with a man and a woman. Bottom line: it’s family. My parents are separated and my dad has a boyfriend but I’ve grown up just as good as I would have if my parents were still together.

  • Anonymous

Sounds like Bristol ate too much yellow snow as a kid.

  • cinchi

Actually the studies show that children do better growing up in a 2 parent home and there is nothing particularly magical about testerone that makes the 2 parent home need to be a dad and mom. Bristol might also note that Obama was raised by a single mother and grew up to be President of the United States so not only did he not do to badly but he certainly knows first hand the implications of growing up without a father. She might also note that it isn’t her place to tell President Obama or any parent how to raise their children. She might also want to note that she became pregnant as a teenager and her baby daddy has now impregnated yet another woman and thus is having a second out of wedlock child, all by the ripe old age of 21. Bristol, those who live in glass houses should not throw the first stone, and you have one heck of a glass house. Homosexuality has been something that has been common and accepted for thousands of years and not until recently during Victorian times did it receive the outcast treatment and laws passed against. President Obama spoke about his daughters and his desire to lovingly accept their choices in life and his desire that they find love just as he did with Michelle. That’s hardly a sentiment that warrants being poked fun at. I’m really tired of the notion “love the sinner, hate the sin” as a justification for hatred and intolerance. As a Christian it really upsets me because that type of behavior and talk is about as far from the teachings of Christ that you can get.

  • http://twitter.com/superbenA2002 Ben Arrowood

Bristol needs to STFU. She had made the conscious decision to get knocked up by Levi with a bastard child in a tent on a camping trip. She needs to go back in whatever hole in Wasilla, AK she was hiding in and stay there.

  • Anonymous

Thank you for your comment, I’m not religious but wish there more Christians like you out there who differentiate their beliefs from laws.

  • Anonymous

Some people should just keep quiet, but they are entitled to their opinions.

  • Disappointed

Its unfortunate that anyone, including Gossip Cop, pays any attention to this woman. She’s from a bizarre family, and an unwed mother who can’t stand having her child’s father in its life. Maybe someone should explain to her that half of marriages in the US end in divorce and gay parents end up working a lot harder for the chance to raise a child than she’ll ever have to. Its too bad that her seemingly intelligent mother raised such an idiot. I guess it speaks volumes about that whole family.

  • bobb

This is coming from a girl who had a child out of wedlock. I mean she has a right to have an opinion, but she shouldn’t be surprised when people call her out with her own situation.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Brenda-Mills/100000377591626 Brenda Mills

I couldn’t agree more, but, in this instance the word is accept instead of except. lots of people do that and its okay but the words really have oppisite meanings. God Bless.

  • V.

hmm lets see how valid is her opinion… First she got knocked up when she was a teenager, then she got engaged twice and broke it off… now she is a single mother which has been condemned by many people from the church… and for 1000s of years it has been said that you should stay virgin until you get married… so if that has changed and ppl now accept her as a single mother (not sure of she is very good at it) then why is it not ok to accept the love of two ppl regardless of their gender?? I honestly think she just came out and said all of those things because she wants to stay relevant… But if she wants to be relevant how about she starts being relevant in her child’s life?? what if it turns out that her child becomes gay is she going to explain that she is against gay marriage because for 1000s of years people have been opposed to it?

  • Jailyn

No one really cares what this little know body thinks. Her views are in the minority. Most normal people don’t give a crap who others want to marry. Most normal people who have not been raised by homophobic bigot parents understand that each and every person on this earth matters and should have the same rights as each other. If she wants to blame parents for not raising their children with the right world views, maybe she should have a look in her own backyard. Obviously her parents did something wrong with her or she would have turned out much better then she has. If she had been raised correctly she wouldn’t have the warped world views that she has, It takes an idiot to raise another idiot and she hit the jackpot with both her parents.

  • Anonymous

And Bristol Palin is revelant….HOW in this conversation? Totally unbelievable!!!!! Whoever wrote this article regarding what SHE said is truly stupid. Who in the world cares what Palin thinks……totally irrevelant!!!!!!

  • Anna

Um majority of us christians have no prob with gays. There is a such thing as other teligions too. Ya know.

  • Anonymous

Mr. Obama, is not trying to change the definition of Marriage. If you listen to what he said, he stated that it was HIS PERSONAL OPINION THAT GAYS SHOULD HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS AS OTHER HUMAN BEINGS to enter into a legal union. He said nothing about holy matrimony, etc. He realizes that there is a legal part to marriage for legal purposes and a other part (it’s up to the people entering into the arrangement to determine what). All marriages are not entered into under biblical bases. From what I see, it’s always these so-called bible quoting folks trying to force their intrepetation of what is and what shall be down everyone’s throat. How about them just being happy for anyone who wants to enter into a loving committment and legalize it. Or better still, just mind their own business. And YES, in my finale, I agree with your last paragraph. It is most intelligent.

  • gramger

Bristol Palin…….she is a role model????? NOT!!!!!

  • Randomlibra

“Her seemingly intelligent mother”. Her mother is a bigoted moron as well. The idiot doesn’t fall far from the idiot tree.

  • Miri

I really, really hate her. “Kids grow better in a mother/father relationships”? well, let’s see how your kid will turn up to become when he’ll hear his dear Mommy opened her legs in 18 and is a disgusting homophobic.

P.S: Dear Sarah Palin – You daughter is a 21 year old homophobic Mom. You Failed.

  • Anna

I was just saying this same thing!

  • Anna

Hey dont blame us christians for this

  • Mayhemgirl

Very well said! Too bad someone like you isn’t interviewed as opposed to her. The fact this girl is given ANY platform to given an opinion shows how low we have sunk in terms of influential members of society. And I really hated that quote from Kirk Cameron, “hate the sin, love the sinner” so I am glad you brought that up as well. Really enjoyed your opinion :-)

  • Mayhemgirl

    LOVE IT!!!!

  • Mayhemgirl

Nick, you are officially my hero after reading this! Absolutely agree, it was less than a hundred years ago women were not given the same rights as a man, so any woman who speaks up for oppressing any other group needs her vagina taken away!

  • Arcachnar

Yeah. Everyone has the right to belief or interpret the Bible on their own way. For there is no right or wrong in the belief of God. Thus free will. But. No one should overbearing their own beliefs upon others. Nor judge others for their sexual orientations, beliefs or gender. Only God can. WE haven’t got this right.

Even though I’m a conservative protestant, I do not agree with Bristol. Children NEED loving parents who care for them. In good and bad times. The point of male/woman or male/male or woman/woman is not that important. Only loving parents and a safe home counts.

Oh. Yes. Only a really small group thinks like Bristol. (IE Tea Party)

  • Mayhemgirl

I just have to say, I love all the comments on this thread, I would throw back drinks with any one of you and then we could go and TP Palin’s house!

  • NOBSGAL

I am sure its a thousand year practice to break engagement.. have a child before marriage and yeah… having a view when you are obviously unfit too… Love is blind… Lust isnt… When her love with a man died just months after engagement… Who gave her the say to talk about others chance at love irregardless of gender age or religion… She should shut her !@#$ing mouth and get a freaking life…

  • Vanessa

this bitch just needs to STFU.

  • Anonymous

Agreed. If Bristol is so damn conservative…um she should have kept her legs closed until marriage. Oh wait this slut lost her virginity before marriage and got preggos to a screwed up baby daddy who has another baby with another girl on the way. She should be the last one talking about thousands of years of what marriage stands for. She has a screwed up family and is a miserable person.

  • Anonymous

Agreed. Leave his kids out of it. That’s just crossing a line. She must be a horrible mother if she uses kids to make a point. Disgusting.

  • Anonymous

They need to disappear. I think I’ll take the Kardashians over this any day.

  • Ms. W

of course she has the right to say it. And I have the right to dislike her for it and say that she is a moron.

BTW, we DON’T have the right to say whatever we want. If you criticize your boss you can lose your job. If you scream fire in a crowded theater, you will go to jail. Many people don’t seem to understand that the “right to free speech” means simply that the government can’t toss your arse in jail for speaking your mind. It doesn’t mean that you don’t have to bear the consequences for the dumb things you might say.

  • Anna

Didnt ask for your opiniom archnar.

  • Anna

Exactly. Idc how much they dont like someone anyone unb enough to bring kids into a dispute is just a foul mother to begin with. She is an idiot.

  • Anna

    Ditto

  • Anna

    Haha hilarious!!!

  • Anna

    Ditto!

  • Arcachnar

Huh? What! What is wrong with you? If you have had read my post I totally agree and talked to the others. Even though I clicked your post. Calm down.

Like I said, the Christians shouldn’t judge anyone else for their sexual orientation nor gender. Only God has this right. Extremists like Bristol gives us a bad name.

Edit: @Anna calm down. Let it go. Even though we have our differences about certain things, we should not attack each other on other threads. I’m actually agree with you here. The most of the Christians have no problem with homosexuality. Only the extremists under the various religions.

  • Arcachnar

Agree. Everyone is entitled to come out for their opinions and theirs beliefs. We all live in a free countries. But. There is a line between an opinion and directly insulting someone’s sexual orientation and/or gender, etc.

  • Anonymous

I was talking about simply stating your opinion, we all the right to do that.
BTW, you DO have the right to criticize your boss, but the consequence would be getting fired for doing so. You can yell fire in a crowded building or an airport, but you will get arrested for doing so. Yes, we do have the right to say what we feel, but saying certain things will come with consequences.

  • Rayn

You go girl ! He is just doing it right now because he was pushed by his nutty VP and it’s election time. The pinko’s are now accusing Romney of being a bully because of something that happened when he was kid! It’s dirty politics like in my country which is under communist government. Wake up people!

  • Rick

I agree with you Rayn! I am all for equality but why now?

  • Anna

Funny you wanna comment yet you dont even LIVE HERE. #1 that was baracks decision alone. #2 he wasnt and hasnt been pushed into anything. #3 romney IS a bully. Dont hate cause the truth came out romney is a NORMAN. he is even coming at women for taking birth control so bitch please learn your facts. You are just as big of a dumbass as bristol and her damn mother is.

  • Mike

Rayn is a bitch and a fucking homophobe. People like this dont even need to be on earth

  • Arcachnar

Could you clarify what has happend to Romney then? Must have missed this.

Yeah. It is election time, but is Bristol the right person to speak out about this delicate subject?

  • Anna

Romney fucking got blasted by people he went to school with. Who are sayig they hope he don’t become president because of how he used to bully them and pick on kids for being gay/bi/lesbians in school. They said he would bully them to hell. And how he is the last to ever judge president Obama. And how he is low for his views etc. Romney is norman.eaning his “religion” forbids birth control electonics etc yet he uses electronics. And being that him and his wife had damn five kids and could financially take care of them he feels everyone else should be able to do the same and more bullshit. This guy is a idiot. Complete fool at that. You didn’t miss it. It just came out like the other day. But his views on birth control women and marriage have been that way. He is the worst possible person to run this country tbh. And no one told Bristol to comment she has this stupid ass blog site tho and does post as she fits. She’s an idiot and is the last person that ever needs to critize The presidents parenting.

  • Mike

Couldn’t agree more. That’s why I honestly love the democratic party cause they are more open to people and other views. People may not like the president for his race, views etc but IFC in love this guy even more now.

  • Well…

Oh my gosh, I am so happy to see all of these comments! This girl has absolutely no room to criticize President Obama for his personal opinion. He did not say that everyone should agree with him. That was not the point. People can continue whatever belief they have when it comes to the ideas of marriage. Bristol did not need to make any public comments regarding this matter.

  • Persianpickle

I don’t think we need the thoughts of an unwed mom who is barely able to think,a dropout living off her parents, who’s childs dad poses in the nude and has knocked up one of her friends. Can you say TRASH.Everyones intitled to their opinions, but, shes a nobody who didn’t need to go public, and if GLEE invited her on the show, she’d be there in 2 seconds.

  • Arcachnar

He sure would not do any good to the country alright. Probably bring it to the middle ages again with the extremist religious views of his. It’s good to hear that those people who attended the same school stood up against him, because it shows the true colors of Romney. A bully and a hypocrite. Those are not characteristics for a true president or a leader of a nation. You mean Mormon?

  • Nick

Vagina taken away! lol…now you’re my hero :)

  • Reb

Excuse me world! This is Bristol Palin and my 15 minutes of fame is over and I somehow need to keep myself in the public eye!

  • Peaceoutalyssa

I completely agree with you!! SHE IS A STUPID IDIOT!!! SHE NEEDS TO SHUT THE HELL UP!

  • Anonymous

Agreed Romney is a fucktard and a bully. Anyone who votes for him supports bullying. He forcibly shaved a students head in high school when they thought this kid was gay. Is this the kind of president America wants?

  • Mike

Exactly I’m a Christian and proud and even some of us think his views are far fetch. He needs to go to outer space in that little perfect world of his and stay there. And yes haha mormon. Sorry I always type too fast.

  • Anna

He is! And ikr NOW hea trying to cover it saying he didn’t know the boy was gay BULLSHIT. of course he knew he’s just trying to cover his ass. People may not like the president but hey at least he would never do anything like that. All his past colleges have nothing but good things to say about Obama. Romney… Not so much. Even a now lawyer who went to school with him was friends with him growing up and said how that guy is still tramatized by what he did. If that’s te kind of person people want to run our country then Id rather move overseas.

  • Anna

Wait. Wtf. Why is my name mike? Wth. Okay this system is werid. Okay to clarify the comment above is me. Anna! :) not a freaking mike. I’m no dude lol

  • Anna

I am too! Very happy everyone agrees

  • Anna

    Praise this ^^^^^^

  • SuzyQ

Kudos!! couldn’t have said it better myself. Who gives a s..t what she has to say? And that goes for her mother as well. Self-inflated bunch of people.

And then me, missy school marm, spells opposite wrong. I feel sorry for Bristol, but this time she just simply pissed on her papers. Anyone think she was prompted by ‘family’?

  • Miah4700

    All right here’s my opinion.
    Dear Bristol,
Shut ur mouth! Nobody on the face of this earth likes u! Ur not even famous and ur mothers a bitch! So please stop because how would u feel if u were gay and people treated u like that! I am good friends to gays with triplets and they are the best parents I know, their kids r the nicest, caring, smart, fit girls, so u know what? Just shut up for once because we all know ur just saying this to get attention!
    Love,
    Your biggest hatter

  • Emily

Way to go Bristol Palin! You are awesome!

  • Emily

I can not wait until all this ends. Nobody will be worried about who is marrying who anymore. The only thing everybody will be doing is worshipping our Lord. No more abortions, no more so-called gay/lesbian marriages and no more transgenders either, just worshipping our Lord.
