Brie Larson Proposed To Boyfriend After Winning Oscar?
Brie Larson did NOT propose to her boyfriend, Alex Greenwald, the day after winning Best Actress at the Oscars, despite a made-up tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it “didn’t happen.”
Larson took home the Academy Award last month for her performance in the movie, Room, and now according to OK!, the actress celebrated the next day by popping the question to her boyfriend. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “Brie had already told friends and family that she wanted to dedicate some time to her relationship after the Oscars.”
The tabloid’s questionable insider then goes on to claim that the couple will get married immediately, and are supposedly “skipping engagement rings and going straight to wedding bands.” But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Larson, who assures us that the actress never proposed to her boyfriend. We’re exclusively told that the magazine’s entire account of events simply “didn’t happen.”
Shortly before the Oscars aired, Gossip Cop busted OK! for falsely alleging that Larson was in a “bitter rivalry” with fellow Best Actress nominee Jennifer Lawrence. Much like that nonexistent feud, the tabloid’s latest tale about a post-Oscar proposal is completely fictitious.
