Just as Brian Williams began Tuesday’s “NBC Nightly News,” a fire alarm went off in his studio, interrupting the evening’s broadcast.

Fortunately, it was just test, and not an actual emergency.

Nevertheless, despite the blaring of an alarm and announcements made over a public address system, Williams pushed on with the evening’s top story, American Airlines’ filing for bankruptcy.
