Brian Austin Green has reportedly filed a lawsuit against ex-girlfriend Vanessa Marcil, the mother of his 9-year-old son, over an unpaid $200,000 loan.

Green, who started dating Marcil when they worked together on “Beverly Hills, 90210,” claims he initially lent the actress $50,000 back in 2000.

The actor says he went on to give Marcil an additional $150,000 with the understanding she would pay him back when asked at a later date.

Nine years after their split, Green says he hasn’t received a dime, even though he asked for his money in November.

Green, now married to Megan Fox, is suing Marcil for the $200,000 she allegedly owes, plus unspecified damages, according to TMZ.

Gossip Cop has reached out to reps for Green and Marcil for comment.

how do you loan your child’s parent money?

  • Vampie

@yomama They weren’t married so she has no legal claim to his $. And even if they were married he could still sue her because spouses are allowed to retain separate bank accounts.

My question is why he waited this long. He loaned it in 2000 and they split in 2002/3 so he had all that time to ask for it or take legal steps towards recouping it. I don’t want to be petty but when I read it I immediately wondered if he and Megan are hard-up for cash or something. Not wishing them ill, just can’t help wondering…

  • D. Martin

Easy. She asked for the money and promised him she’d pay it back. And I’m betting she agreed to pay him back too. A deal is a deal.

  • Guest

    Yup, he must be broke.

  • Regina1180

Or, he wants his money back.

  • realismbites

OK…so the boy blew his wad at the time getting what he wanted, knocked ‘er up, made promises he (perhaps) wanted to keep, but as the floundering-career-nears-its-end actor managed to snag the up-and-coming “I remember Brian as my heart-throb TV-screen-darling…I can’t resist” actress, the finances just aren’t workin’. Join the real world, folks. How long will she stay…not long…just sayin’…sucks when reality strikes.

    The power of the pussy.

Could he be broke already? He was on last Season’s Desperate Housewives for like almost half the Season.. Megan Fox must be really high maintenance.

  • Ee

He may have the legal right to sue but it seems very petty and $200000 to him on the surface does not seem a lot unless like suggested he and the mrs are broke.

  • Maniak

And Brian’s suing Vanessa right as she’s still recovering from her recent miscarriage…

Ok if that is true – why did he keep loaning her money 50,000.00 at a time and she continue NOT to pay it back yet he would continue to give her money? One or two times I might could see however after that NOT! Maybe he was paying Vanessa off and helping her start up since she wasn’t working and they were having a child seems more like the case or he helped her after rehab that Vanessa went to for an addiction. So if it was a big issue to him – why after 11 years? Is he hard up for cash? does he want to use these so call loans for child support? There is more to this story! I agree if she owes it she should pay BUT common sense says there is something else happening here???

  • guest

I am hoping Sonny sends some of his men over there to straighten this out! Brenda doesn’t need this right now!

  • Krissu

My common sense says that he loaned her money, and now wants it back. I think your speculations are just that – speculations!

  • guest

Seems like something else is the real issue! Is he having money issues? Does he want to use this money as child support? Was it clearly a loan? Do you continue to loan a person money after they borrow 50,000 twice and still not pay back? Common sense says NO! Did he agree to help set her up when they split for the child? or was it when Vanessa needed help with her addiction? Anyway something isn’t right – could it be a power struggle move? I agree if she owes it she should pay however I am not really sure if it was clearly a loan since during that time he was very very well off.

  • D. Martin

Certainly there is more to this story. There could be a number of scenarios. Why did he continue to lend her money? Probably BECAUSE they have a child together and she may have needed it to pay rent, mortgage, etc. The point I’m making is that no matter the reason if she accepted the money with the agreement that its a loan then she owes him them money.

My brother borrowed $3000 from me SWEARING he’d pay it back. When it came time to pay it back his response was, “I’m your brother, I don’t think I owe you anything.” Funny. He didn’t say THAT when he asked for the money. As I recall he promised to pay me back and I have witnesses – including our mother.

This could be a similar scenario. When you borrow money with the promise to pay it back and then don’t it’s stealing. Period. Just ask anyone who never got their money back.

  • D. Martin

If she borrowed the money with the promise to pay it back it doesn’t matter if he’s broke. A promise is a promise. A bank isn’t broke but they’re entitled to their money when you borrow it. Besides, how do you know he isn’t broke BECAUSE she’s refusing to pay back the loan?

  • D. Martin

She might have been promising to pay it back all along and he just got tired of her promising and not paying.

  • guest

my common sense says after 11 years there is more to it! don’t worry though sonny will straighten it out!

  • Wendywatkins

I am thinking this has nothing to do with my life so I could care less!!!

  • Me2011

Sometimes u just need to make it right,,,,,,,that is the problem with women,,,,if she borrows it is a gift?? But if he borrows je pays back?? Double standard,, big time,,,,and using the excuse that is his sons mother?? Women love to use that excuse….do not use the kid,,,in what should be only between the TWO ADULTS…….last time I checked, she has a job….this works two ways…she is not using the excuse, but some women out there’d ink she is entitled to keep it because of being the mother to his kid?? Women NEED. To be stronger than that……always wanting something for free……I have faith them two will work it out….it is between them….

  • Jerseysmelltours

For a real nebbish he does alright with the ladies….his type seems to require petite raven-haired with huge knockers and less than high school equivelency brains. As for Ms Marcil she seems a real honey or atleast she plays one on Tv. but she’s allowed just about every actor on the scene to walk all over her, maybe she should stop worrying about the boob-jobs and concentrate on her acting.

  • Dlominy

There are too many inconsistencies in this story. He said the money was lent before the birth of their child. So during the course of their relationship, why was he reluctant to bring up the loan then? 200K is a large amount. I’m not denying that Marcil should repay loan. But I am questioning Green’s real motives. Why a lawsuit 11 years later? No installment plan? This sounds a bit sneaky and vindictive. Something is up! I’m real curious as to why Green and Marcil officially broke up. Green said that Fox played a real part in re-building his self-esteem. Something he lost in his relationship with Marcil. We will hear the real story behind it soon enough! But my gut instinct is telling me Fox is tired of supporting him financially. Green is broke!

  • steph

Get over it Brian what are you broke know and need money. You were together at the time and why she anyone believe this was a loan. The amount of money you both make I don’t feel bad for you.

  • http://ameriloansearch.com/ no credit check loans

I’m sorry but am I the only one who is backing him up? It’s 200K not 2K. 200K is alot of money to most people. He’s not brad pitt status of income so 200k to him is alot of money. Can pay for his son’s schooling, a house, etc. He’s probably suing her now b/c maybe he’s been given her years to pay him back and many chances and sounds like she never did. Why should he just let this amount of money go when she agreed to pay him back.
