Brett Ratner Confirms: Mariah Carey And I Are Just “Great Friends” (VIDEO)
As Gossip Cop reported, false rumors recently claimed that Ratner and Carey had embarked on a romantic relationship. RadarOnline was one of the outlets to spread the allegation, which Gossip Cop debunked nearly a month ago. We were right.
“We’re great friends,” Ratner now tells E! in the video below. “I’m directing her video. I’ve been friends with her for over 20 years.” The filmmaker found himself amused by the unfounded gossip. “It makes me laugh, actually. It cracks me up,” he says, reiterating, “We’re great friends. She’s awesome and she’s amazing.”
And this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop correctly set the record straight on Ratner’s love life. Back in 2012, the famed director and Sandra Bullock exclusively issued a joint statement to Gossip Cop after In Touch wrongly alleged they were dating. In actuality, the pair hadn’t seen each other for more than a decade.
As for Carey, the music icon remains single in the wake of her separation from Nick Cannon, who filed for divorce from the singer last December. But, as Gossip Cop recently reported, the estranged spouses spent Easter together earlier this month, began interacting again on social media, and Cannon revealed last week that he has a “never say never” approach to a possible reconciliation.
That said, there is no indication that any true reunion is in the works. One thing is for sure, though. Carey has NOT moved on With Ratner.
