Brennley Brown covered Martina McBride for Top 10 performance on Monday’s “The Voice.” Watch below!

At just 15 years old, Brown is one of the youngest contestants on “The Voice” this season. Despite her age, though, she’s proving to be one of the most formidable competitors. Singing about emotions she has probably yet to experience, the teen has shown conviction in all of her performances, even ranking within the top 10 on the iTunes singles chart last month. Also noteworthy is that she’s a country singer standing out with Gwen Stefani, not Blake Shelton, as her coach.

The No Doubt front woman and the aspiring star have formed a mother-daughter, or perhaps sisterly, bond through the NBC competition, a dynamic that is obvious in rehearsals and when Stefani watches Brown perform on stage. This week, the two worked together on perfecting McBride’s “Anyway” for another powerful performance. “Let it be about you,” encouraged Stefani, who could later be heard exclaiming, “We’re gonna win!”

Brown’s live performance was the last of the two-hour broadcast, and both Stefani and Alicia Keys gave a standing ovation. Shelton also told her, “You definitely made a believer out of me… I’m glad you did this song with that message at this moment. And your voice has never shined brighter than today.” Stefani admitted she and Shelton talk about the aspiring star outside of work, and credited Brown for the song choice, saying, “It was so beautiful, and vocally better than I ever could have imagined.” Check out the video below!
