Brennley Brown, Aaliyah Rose “The Voice” Knockouts Video – Watch Performances!
Brennley Brown and Aaliyah Rose faced off for “The Voice” Knockouts on Tuesday, and one of the contestants was stolen. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop reported, Brown was originally on Blake Shelton’s team. But after he didn’t pick Brown as a Battles winner, Gwen Stefani stole her. Now this marked her first time competing as a member of Team Gwen, and she had to go up against one of her new teammates. But unlike in the Battles, where artists perform duets, each aspiring star would get a solo turn on the stage for the Knockouts. Still, Stefani would only be able to keep one on her team in the end.
Brown selected the Kelly Clarkson version of “Up To The Mountain,” while Rose chose “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” by Meghan Trainor. In a joint rehearsal, Stefani compared Rose’s voice to Rihanna, but encouraged the YouTuber to connect with a live audience. She also urged Brown to show emotions that match her song’s lyrics. And, since the aspiring stars have become friendly, they were nervous about going up against each other.
Both nailed their respective performances, but it was Brennley who scored a standing ovation from both Stefani and Alicia Keys. Adam Levine even said Brennley gave a “Grammy performance” at just 15 years old. Shelton, who gave her up, stated, “You are doing what you were born to do… It still hurts me to see you on somebody else’s team.”
He was also wowed by Rose’s vibrato, and predicted Stefani would end up “crying up” regardless of what happened. Basing her decision solely on the their Knockout performances, she named Brown the winner. But it wasn’t over yet for Rose, as Shelton hit his button to steal. And yes, Stefani cried.
